Art helps young children and specially the toddlers to develop both gross motor and fine motor skills. We keep our toddlers occupied with activities which interests them. We ensure that the activities trigger the curiosity and keep toddlers interested in any activity for a prolonged time. They have many different areas in the classroom to refine their fine motor skills. Once such area is the Art section. Children use different art materials in the classroom to achieve various goals of learning like using brush strokes, coloring pencils, crayons, cutting, gluing. They are fascinated seeing the end-product. Fine motor skills are practical and useful to grab, hold, turn, and twist. It also develops the Eye-Hand co-ordination which allows them to use the eyes and both hands in co-ordination.
